Hello There, This is F. P. Dawe…

F.P. Dawe is a Hispanic American author and educator from the D.C. Metropolitan Area, currently based out of New York alongside his wife and two schnauzers. A lifelong daydreamer, F.P. grew up losing himself in the vast worlds of literary giants like J.R.R. Tolkien and George R.R. Martin, and those of his own creation. As he matured, F.P. found a permanent refuge in dark fantasy, folklore, sci-fi, horror, and weird fiction. Genres that provided a terrifying, yet strangely comforting, space to put the real world and its horrors into perspective.

For a long time, life smoothed out those edges. F.P. followed the sensible path, one fueled by his love for history, the greatest story ever told. Earning both a BA and an M.Ed. in the subject from George Mason University. While working in the restaurant industry to support his studies, he transitioned into public education, where he spent years sharing his passion for storytelling through informative anecdotes and tall tales from ages past. His creative outlet was relegated to hobbies such as TTRPGs and wargames, until the tragic and untimely passing of his late sister. This devastating loss reawakened his need to create art, shifting his relationship with the dark fiction he had always loved. F.P. does not write fear for its own sake; he writes it because he truly knows what it means to be afraid.

Today, F.P. has launched a prolific indie career, having penned eight manuscripts and over two dozen short stories in just two years. Many of these stories can be found on Substack and Royal Road. His current projects include his debut novel When the Abyss Stared Back (currently in final revisions with an expected early 2027 release), the post-apocalyptic thriller The Power of God (currently on its third round of edits and likely set for a 2027 release), the weird fiction antediluvian epic Forgotten Gods (with the first draft nearly completed), and the upcoming horror anthology Who’s Afraid of the Dark? (slated for an October 2026 release).
